Why has the exchange or depository sent an email asking to add a nominee to the Tradejini account?

As per SEBI clients must choose to opt-in or opt-out of nomination for their accounts. The Regulator has mandated Market Intemediaries like Exchanges and Depositories to ensure that in cases where nominee is missing for an account either a nominee is added or in case a person doesn’t want to add a nominee he has to specifically provide the same saying that he wants to Opt out of nominating for his account. Hence you are recieving a mail from them.
