Why do I need to input my details again?

Effective 30th April 2024, the NSDL Database has changed its API format, basis which, all clients are required to input their Name and DOB as available in the Income Tax Database. This may be different from the details appearing on the PAN card since the Income Tax Department allows for a different name on the PAN Card vs the name as per the Income Tax Records.
For Eg.
Name as per PAN Card – Manjunath G
Name as per Income Tax Records – Govindraju Manjunath
You are requested to log in to your Income Tax Profile and input the name appearing in your profile section – https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/
On successful input of the Name and DOB, you will be able to move ahead in the EKYC process.
